Uploading Custom Map Markers
This guide will show you how to create custom markers for your area maps. These markers can be added in the Pre-plan module or in the Inspection module or be available for use in both. Adding custom markers has to be done in the back-office environment.
Navigate to the Back Office / Admin, and Locate Where to Upload
Let’s make a custom marker using our EPR Fireworks Logo. Once logged into the back office, select “Properties” (1) and click on “Settings” (2). Down toward the bottom of the list, select “Custom Markers” (3).
Choosing Module, Adding Description and How to Upload
The Custom Markers tab will open with a window for you to view the standard markers, and for you to be able to add custom markers.
Select the module you will plan to use the marker in, or leave this on “All” (1) to be able to access the marker from Preplans, Inspections or the Map View under property info when viewing the individual property.
You may also add a marker from the included markers (2) and use your own description to customize it to your department.
Navigate to the last row on the list and begin typing the description of your marker in the “Description” column (3) and click on the folder icon (4) to open the dialog box to upload the icon. Click “Choose Files” (5) to select your icon.
***NOTE: only jpg, gif and png images are compatible and must be no larger than 50kb.
Now let’s see what the list looks like with the icon uploaded to it.

Using your New Custom Marker
Now to use the icon, simply select “Custom Markers” (2) in the drop down after clicking +Add (1) in a property, preplan or inspection map, and your new icon (3) will be there for you to use. ***NOTE: If you create the icon in multiple modules, you will have duplicate icons.
