Overview

Before conducting your inspection, review historical information and verify inspection details:

Reviewing Property History

  1. Check the property's inspection history:
    • Click the time icon next to the Visits field.
    • Look for patterns of recurring violations.

  2. Review internal remarks from previous inspections:
    • Scroll to the Remarks section.
    • Read notes left by previous inspectors.

Verifying Inspection Details

Ensure accuracy of the following information:
  • Inspection #: Fixed serial number
  • Property #: Fixed property identifier
  • Priority: Regular or Critical (Critical appears at the top of lists)
  • Inspection Type: Current inspection type
  • Occupancy Type: Property's occupancy classification
  • Due Date: Current inspection deadline
  • Assigned To: Staff member responsible
  • On Hold/Vacant: Property status indicators


Checking Property Information

Review the Property Info > Inspection Info section and verify these critical fields:
  • Inspection Level: State-mandated level or urgency indicator.
  • Default Inspection Frequency: How often regular inspections occur.
  • Default Preplan Frequency: Timing between preplan checks.
  • Requires Preplan: Whether property needs pre-plan surveys.
  • Requires Inspection: Whether property needs inspections.

AlertImportant! If either the Preplan or Inspection requirement fields are incorrectly set to Off, your department may be liable in the event of an incident.
