Payroll Module Overview
Be able to navigate to the Incident Tab and understand the payroll for Incidents. Objective 1
○ The Fireworks homepage will appear.
● Enter Email Address.
● Enter Password.
● Click Sign In.
● Click on the Incident Tab on the Top tab Menu.
● Click on a Incident report by selecting the Incident icon on the left side of the screen.
● Click on the Payroll Tab on the top menu bar to see the payroll for that Incident,
Be able to Understand how to locate the Payroll in Training. Objective 2
• Click on the Training Tab (If Applicable)
• Create a training activity or assignment and assign staff to that event. (Red Box)
• Click on the event and details to pull up the options to show the payroll dialog (Yellow Box)
• This page will show you the staff assigned to the event and the payroll type for that staff.
• Once the staff has completed the event the payroll type will upload to the Payroll Dialog.
Be able to Understand how to Setup Payroll Types in Admin Backoffice. Objective 3
• Login in the Admin Backoffice
• Navigate to the Management Tab in the Admin Backoffice (Yellow Box)
• Navigate to the Staff Settings Tab in the Admin Backoffice
• Navigate down the dropdown menu and click on the Payroll Types (Red Box)
• Payroll Types allow the ability to create payroll types for Incidents and Training.
Incidents Payroll Breakdown
o All Incidents
o EMS
o Fire
o Hazmat
o Other
o Technical
Training Payroll Breakdown
o All Activities and Assignments
• The rest of the subjects in training come from the Category List found under management in Training settings.
To add a new payroll type, select either Incident or Training and the subject that the payroll type needs to be in.
Give the payroll type a Description, Sub Subject, Pay Rate, and Price Type.
Once you have the Payroll Type entered now we can add it to a Payroll Profile or a Staff User.
Be able to Understand how to setup Payroll Profiles. Objective 4
• To setup Payroll Profiles click on the Management Tab in Admin Backoffice (Yellow Box)
• Navigate to the Staff Settings in the Management Tab.
• Navigate down to the dropdown menu and click on the Payroll Profiles. (Red Box)
• Payroll Profiles give you the ability to create profiles and attach Payroll types so you can assign them to staff in the system.
• To create a Payroll Profile click on the button New (Yellow Box) and enter in the name of the Payroll Profile (Red Box).
• Doubling clicking on the profile name will allow you to enter that payroll profile to add payroll types and the dollar amounts associated with them.
• You will set a date range for this Payroll type and the Pay type (Set or Hourly).
• Then click on Staff Profiles to assign the profile to a user in the system.
Assigning out the Staff Profile will erase any payroll types already assigned to the user.
Be able to add Payroll to Users in the system Objective 5
• To add Payroll to a user you can choose between a Payroll Profile or adding to a specific user in the User’s Profile under Users and Permissions.
• You may add as many Payroll Types to the User's Profile or my selecting the Payroll Profile in the top left corner of the (Red Box.)
• If you need to update a user’s payroll individually you will come to the User’s profile.
• If you need to update a Payroll Profile altogether then you will go to Payroll Profiles and make the change.
Updating relevant users will update all users under that profile.
Be able to locate reports Associated with Payroll in BI Module Objective 6
• Click on the BI Module in FireWorks.
• Click on the Reports and Queries tab.
• Click on reports which is highlighted in Red.
• In the search bar for Queries type in “Payroll”
o Incidents with No Payroll Added
o Training/Activities with No Payroll Added
o Volunteer Payroll for Incident and Training detailed.
o Volunteer Payroll for Incident and Training Summary
o Volunteer Payroll for Incident Detailed
o Volunteer Payroll for Incident Summary
o Volunteer Payroll for Training Detailed
o Volunteer Payroll for Training Summary
If you cannot find a report to meet your liking here, you can use the Report Generator to create a custom report for payroll.
