Maintenance Admin Setup
Maintenance Categories
- Maintenance Categories will be found under Inventory & Maintenance module in Admin side of Fireworks.
- Maintenance Categories will be used to name the Maintenance check the department will be doing. Examples could be Daily Maintenance Check, SCBA Check, Ladder Truck Maintenance.
- To create a Maintenance Category first click on Follow-Up Maintenance Category then click on new. This will create a blank line to name the Maintenance Check.
Maintenance Types
- ∙To add Maintenance Types you will first have to have a Maintenance Category(Name of Maintenance Check) for the maintenance types to go under.
- ∙Once Category is selected you may start adding Maintenance Types to the category. You may have as many types to one category as you would like.
- Once you have a maintenance test built now, we can go and add it to an Apparatus or a Warehouse.
Adding Maintenance to an Apparatus
- To add Maintenance to a Apparatus or Warehouse we first have to make sure we set the times in which we want to perform a Maintenance check on a Apparatus or Warehouse.
- To verify for an Apparatus if the correct times are set go to Management, Department Settings, and Apparatus. Click on the appropriate Apparatus and scroll to the bottom to click on Maintenance check.
- To verify for a Warehouse if the correct times are set go to Inventory & Maintenance, Settings, and Warehouses. Click on the appropriate Warehouse and scroll to bottom to click on Maintenance check.

- To add Maintenance to a Apparatus or Warehouse click on Maintenance.
- Select the Vehicle or Warehouse from the dropdown.
- Once you have selected the appropriate spot click on the left side for category and select the Maintenance Check you created.
- The Maintenance Check types will now appear on the right side, you will then have to select when those maintenance types will need to appear on which checks. Our example here is Daily and After Use.
Once this is added you can either force the changes in Inventory and Maintenance Check page under Update
Vehicles. You may also wait and the system will make the changes at midnight each night.
Adding Maintenance to and Item.
- To add maintenance to an item you will go to Inventory and Maintenance Module, Settings, Items.
- Click on the Item that needs Maintenance added to it. Once open at the top will make sure the Require Maintenance Check button is clicked.
- Then at the bottom you can start to add Maintenance as a category then start adding your Maintenance types from there for the specific item.
