Firefighter Rehab

Firefighter Rehab

EPR FireWorks has included a Rehab module that is located within the NFIRS Incident Module. This article will cover how to use the Rehab module in your system. The Rehab module is only available for departments that have a NEMSIS Compliant ePCR. If you do not have this module in your system,  please contact your project manager our or Support Team to have this module turned on for you!

To use the Rehab module, first must have the permissions set in the Incident Module for that user under the Incident Profile in Admin Backoffice

Locating Rehab

To access the Rehab section in Fireworks you will be able to view this on the Incident page in response tab.

Rehab is a feature that must be turned on by the Project Manager. Please reach out to your PM if you would like this feature to be turned on.

Adding Personnel to Rehab

·         To add personnel to rehab we will click the add button in the bottom right corner of the rehab section.

·         This will bring up a new page where you can select from the name dropdown a staff member from the incident report.

·         From this page you will have options for:

  1. Rehab Time
  2. # of SCBA Bottles used
  3. Vitals
  4. Provider for vitals
  5. Check Status
  1. Blood Pressure
  2. Heart Rate
  3. Respiratory Rate
  4. Sp02 Rate

  8. Narrative of the staff member in rehab.

Creating and ePCR from Rehab

When adding personnel to the rehab section you will have the option to select the check status to released, sent to rest, transported.
If you select transported this will give you the ability to create an ePCR for the staff member to track procedures performed on the staff member.

Red star of life to access the ePCR

The red star of life will only appear if the customer has the new version of ePCR. If the customer does not have this version you may reach out to the Project Manager about acquiring the new version from Sales.

Rehab in Training Module (LMS)

You can also add Rehab checks in the Training Module. To do this you first must have the permissions set in the Training Module for that user under the Training Profile in Admin Backoffice.

·         Once the permissions are set in Admin, you may start to document Rehab checks for personnel after adding the assignment in the Training Module.

Add in the Assignment into the Training Module.

Once in the assignment you can select the 3 dots on the right side which will show the ability to click on Rehab Checks.

From the Rehab Check page you will be able to add personnel and track vitals, who provided care, patient disposition, and etc.

In the Admin Center under Assignments select the Assignment you want to add Rehab checks too by clicking the three dots on the right side of the assignment, this will push a dropdown box where you can select Rehab Checks.

·         This page will show you all personnel who have had a rehab check. If blank then select add to add personnel to rehab check.

·         Using this page, you can add the personnel and track vitals, provider, check status, and etc.

If you select transported under check status then you will have the ability to add the personnel to ePCR.
