Hydrant Admin Setup


How to Access Hydrant Settings in admin Back Office

Once you have logged into your account, click on your profile, and admin login.



Once you are in the admin back office, click on hydrants


Hydrant Settings

In the hydrants section under settings, you will see the following options which you can adjust to fit your department.
  1. Hydrant Test Type allows the user to choose when the flow or maintenance test will occur. This is done by entering the “Recurring Types.”
  2. You can adjust the “Test Cycle” in months for how often the test will occur.
  3. In the “Flow Test” and “Maintenance Test” boxes, the admin can determine what information can be added to the hydrant test. IE…if only the “Flow Test” box is checked, users can only input flow test data and no maintenance data.


Once you have the recurring type created, you have the option to create subtypes for the test as well.

Hydrant Problems

Hydrant Problems is a predefined list that you may always add to as your crew’s complete hydrant tests. This list will build out the dropdown list in the “Problems Found” section in the hydrant report.

Hydrant Manufacturers

Hydrant Manufacturers is a predefined list of common hydrant manufacturers. If there is a manufacturer that is not on this list, you do have the ability to add them in the black box at the bottom of the list. If you would like to delete, if the manufacturer is not attached to a hydrant, you may delete the type by clicking on the “Red X.”

Hydrant Types

Hydrant Types is where you can document the type of hydrants that you have within your area. You do have the ability to add them in the black box at the bottom of the list. If you would like to delete, as long as the type is not attached to a hydrant, you may delete the type by clicking on the “Red X.”

Water Systems

Water System is a place where you can track the specific water system for the hydrant. If there is a Water System that is not on this list, you do have the ability to add them in the black box at the bottom of the list. If you would like to delete, if the Water System is not attached to a hydrant, you may delete the type by clicking on the “Red X.”

Water Utility Companies 

Water Utility Companies is where you can document who owns and performs any maintenance and replacement of damaged hydrants.

Understand How to View and Delete Hydrants

Start by clicking on “Follow-up Hydrant” section.


You will now see a list of all the hydrants within your system. You can edit any of the hydrant details by double clicking on the “hydrant#” column.


To delete a hydrant, single click on the “hydrant#” and click the delete button in the top ribbon beside the “Follow-up Hydrant” section.


If you delete a hydrant, ALL HISTORICAL DATA WILL BE LOST!

Understand How to Create New Flow Tests

Begin by clicking on the “New Test” section.

Once the list is generated, you can select the hydrant or hydrants that need a test. You can also complete the “New Test Details.” Once this has been completed, you can create the test(s).
