Getting Started with the FireWorks Properties Module

Overview

The Properties module allows you to manage property-related activities across four key areas:
  • Inspections: Schedule, track, and assign inspections.
  • Pre-Plans: Assign and conduct pre-plan surveys.
  • Properties List: Maintain property information.
  • CommunityWorks: Process and respond to community requests.

Key Functionality

Each area provides specialized functionality to help you manage properties efficiently:
  • Inspections: Create inspections, monitor violations, and assign by inspector, station, or apparatus.
  • Pre-Plans: Schedule pre-plans on recurring cycles and track assignments.
  • Properties List: Monitor properties and manage property information.
  • CommunityWorks: Review citizen messages and process permit and inspection requests.

 Properties List Display

The Properties List screen includes these important components:

  • Risk Rating Icons: Marks properties according to their risk assessment.
  • Filters: Filter properties by information, address, occupancy type, complex info, and assignment criteria.
  • Saved Filters: Save frequently used filters for quick access.
  • Expand: View basic details of properties, pre-plans, and investigations.
  • Switch to Map View: View properties on a map for geographical planning.

Assignments Overview

Assignments screens are available in the Inspection and Pre-Plan modules for managing assignments.


You can modify the following details:

  • Due Date
  • Inspector
  • Station
  • Shift
  • Apparatus

To edit assignments:

  1. Select assignments using the checkboxes.
  2. Choose your editing method:
    • For single assignments: Edit directly in the row.
    • For multiple assignments: Click the pencil icon next to the column header.
  3. Click Apply Changes to save.

For bulk updates, use the Mass Update button (this modifies ALL records in the current list).
